Bhagavad-gita is the greatly enlightening philosophical song sung by Lord Sri Krsna, the Supreme Lord, to instruct His friend Arjuna who was bewildered on the battlefield of Kuruksetra. The five truths that embody the teachings of the Gită are iśvara (God), jīva (living entity), prakṛti (material nature), kāla (time), and karma (action).
